Alexia Kapsampeli is a qualified lawyer and member of the Athens Bar Association with a strong academic and professional background in international business law, media, and human rights advocacy. She holds an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an LL.M. in International Business Law from the London School of Business and Finance. Her postgraduate studies focused on corporate governance, international trade law, competition law, commercial contracting, and global finance. Her dissertation examined freedom of expression on the Internet, reflecting her sustained interest in the intersection between law, media, and digital rights.
Professionally, Alexia has combined legal practice with extensive media experience. She has worked as a reporter and contributor for Kontra Channel and the weekly newspaper To Paron, covering issues related to institutions, transparency, and public affairs. Earlier in her career, she completed a mini-pupillage at 1 Mitre Court Buildings in London and trained at Mantzouranis Law Firm in Athens. She also served in the legal department of ALTER Channel, gaining valuable insight into media law and regulatory compliance.
Her scholarly and conference activity includes presentations on migration and residence permits, as well as a poster on human trafficking at The Migration Conference 2017 in Athens. She has published articles on internet speech and the right to education in international outlets.
