Altyn Ashyrova

Altyn Ashyrova is an emerging legal researcher and international law specialist whose work focuses on technology law, artificial intelligence governance, digital regulation, and private international law. Combining a strong academic background with practical experience in legal research, judicial administration, and international organizations, she has developed a multidisciplinary profile dedicated to addressing the legal challenges arising from technological innovation and cross-border governance.

Altyn recently served as a Legal Research Intern at the Law and Internet Foundation in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she conducted legal and policy research on artificial intelligence, internet governance, data protection, and digital regulation. Her work involved analyzing international legal frameworks, legislation, and academic literature, preparing legal analyses, and contributing to research projects addressing the evolving regulation of emerging technologies. This experience strengthened her expertise in comparative legal research and technology policy while reinforcing her commitment to responsible AI governance.

Alongside her research activities, Altyn serves as an English Language Tutor for IT professionals, designing communication programs focused on technical writing and professional workplace communication. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable legal and administrative experience through internships at the Berkararlyk District Court and the National Commission of UNESCO in Turkmenistan, where she assisted with legal documentation, judicial proceedings, multilingual translation, and international cooperation initiatives. These experiences provided practical insight into judicial administration, legal analysis, and cross-cultural communication.

Altyn holds a Bachelor of Laws from the International University for the Humanities and Development in Turkmenistan, graduating with distinction after specializing in international private law. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering, Law, and Economics of Sustainable Development at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania, where she explores the intersection of law, sustainability, and technological innovation. She also represented her university at the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, further strengthening her expertise in international arbitration and comparative legal analysis.
