Divya R. Aradhya

Divya R. Aradhya is an emerging technology law specialist and legal researcher with a strong academic and practical foundation in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) law. Currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law at Queen Mary University of London, she combines expertise in commercial law, digital regulation, data protection, and cybersecurity with a growing interest in artificial intelligence governance and emerging technologies. She previously earned her BBA LL.B. (Hons.) with distinction from PES University, demonstrating consistent academic excellence and a multidisciplinary approach to legal studies.

Throughout her legal training, Divya has gained diverse practical experience through internships across litigation, commercial law, media law, and cyber law. Most recently, she served as a Student Volunteer at qLegal, supporting startups and entrepreneurs through supervised legal research and advisory drafting on company insolvency matters. Her earlier internships provided extensive experience in contract drafting, legal research, case preparation, client advisory, and courtroom practice across civil, criminal, family, and commercial law. She has also worked on artist agreements, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters while developing strong analytical and legal writing skills.

A significant aspect of Divya’s professional development has been her work with Roots Cyber Law Firm, where she focused on data privacy, cybersecurity compliance, cybercrime, artificial intelligence regulation, cryptocurrency law, and digital disputes. This experience strengthened her interest in the legal challenges presented by emerging technologies and reinforced her commitment to advancing responsible digital governance.

Beyond her practical experience, Divya has contributed to legal scholarship through publications examining the impact of technology on labour law administration and the banking sector. She has further enhanced her expertise through specialized training in Artificial Intelligence and the Rule of Law and Robotics Law, reflecting her commitment to understanding the evolving relationship between law and technological innovation. As she continues her legal career, Divya is dedicated to contributing to technology regulation, digital policy, and international legal practice through rigorous research, practical problem-solving, and forward-looking legal analysis
