Efe Gunes is a highly motivated undergraduate student at the University of Sydney pursuing a dual degree in Law and International Relations. With an international upbringing and a passion for leadership, diplomacy, and social impact, Efe has developed a strong interdisciplinary perspective on global legal and political issues. In 2026, he became the youngest Turkish citizen to visit all seven continents, reflecting his curiosity, adaptability, and global outlook.
Alongside his academic studies, Efe is actively involved in student leadership, advocacy, and community engagement initiatives. He currently serves as Partnerships & Global Outreach Leader at Access Unlocked, where he leads outreach initiatives across Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. In this role, he has helped expand international student participation, build networks of volunteers, and strengthen the organization’s global presence.
Efe also contributes to the Social Justice Subcommittee of the Sydney University Law Society as a Marketing & Engagement Officer, where he supports outreach campaigns, student engagement, and event coordination. Additionally, as an Internal Events Organiser for the Sydney University United Nations Society, he has played a key role in organizing Model United Nations conferences and managing delegate experiences.
He has also demonstrated his leadership by attending to programs like the Harvard Youth Leadership Program and TedX events where he learned more about global social issues and leadership characteristics to provide solutions. In addition, he has attended the NATO Youth Summit in 2025, further demonstrating his interest in youth diplomacy and politics. With strong communication, research and organisational skills, Efe is committed to international dialogue, legal innovation, and socially impactful leadership.
