Osama Al Amosh

Osama Al Amosh is a political scientist, researcher, and policy analyst whose work focuses on international relations, geopolitical strategy, governance, and the political implications of emerging technologies. Combining academic research with practical experience in diplomacy, development, and public policy, he has developed expertise in analyzing complex global challenges through interdisciplinary and evidence-based approaches.

Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government at the University of Texas at Tyler, Osama builds upon a strong academic foundation in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Jordan. His research interests span global governance, international security, artificial intelligence governance, technology policy, geopolitical competition, and political economy. He is particularly interested in understanding how technological innovation, supply-chain dependencies, and strategic competition are reshaping global power structures.

Professionally, Osama serves as a Researcher with the Jordanian Youth Council on Gender Equality, where he conducts policy-oriented research on gender equality, legislative frameworks, and social development. He also works as an intern with the Jordanian Information Bureau at the Embassy of Jordan in Washington, D.C., supporting diplomatic research, geopolitical analysis, and policy brief development related to U.S.–Jordan relations. His experience includes synthesizing complex political developments into actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders.

Osama’s background further encompasses monitoring and evaluation, youth empowerment programming, civic engagement, and international development. Through roles with organizations such as IREX, ActionAid, Lazord Foundation, and the University of Jordan, he has contributed to policy research, impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and community development initiatives across Jordan and the broader MENA region.

An active researcher and writer, Osama has authored and co-authored studies on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, semiconductor geopolitics, media polarization, and Middle Eastern political history. His ongoing work examines the geopolitical significance of AI infrastructure and semiconductor supply chains, exploring how technological chokepoints influence international power dynamics.
