Purva Namjoshi is an aspiring strategic communications professional with a strong interest in the intersection of marketing, consumer psychology, and social impact. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Management Studies at St. Xavier’s College, University of Mumbai, she is deeply committed to understanding how communication strategies and narrative framing influence public attitudes and decision-making. Her long-term goal is to design meaningful campaigns that not only engage audiences effectively but also promote social awareness, environmental responsibility, and equitable development.
Purva has demonstrated leadership and initiative through her role as Vice President of the Environmental Committee at St. Xavier’s College, where she spearheaded student-led sustainability efforts such as beach clean-ups, campus drives, and waste segregation campaigns. Her work reflects a practical commitment to environmental advocacy and community engagement. Additionally, as a member of the Student Inclusion Cell, she contributed to marketing, public relations, and event planning initiatives aimed at fostering inclusivity and accessibility within the campus community.
Her dedication to social impact extends beyond campus. As an intern with Project Balika, Purva supported fundraising and helped guide underprivileged students through educational access processes. She also volunteered at the Lokmanya Seva Sangh Child Guidance Centre, where she worked closely with children from underserved backgrounds, offering academic assistance and emotional support while creating a nurturing learning environment.
Recognized for her global outlook, Purva was selected as an Indian student representative for the British Council’s international climate skills program, where she engaged with peers on sustainability challenges and solutions.
