Shanfa Maryam

Shanfa Maryam is a driven law graduate and emerging research scholar with a strong academic foundation and a passion for impactful legal work. She earned her LL.B (Hons.) from Gomal University with an outstanding CGPA of 3.85/4.00, demonstrating both intellectual rigor and dedication to excellence. Her academic interests center on cyber jurisprudence and climate justice, reflecting her commitment to addressing complex global challenges through legal research and advocacy.

Currently practicing as a lawyer at the District Bar Association in Dera Ismail Khan, Shanfa represents clients in civil, constitutional, and regulatory matters. Her work involves drafting legal petitions, notices, and briefs, with a focus on governance and compliance frameworks. She previously gained valuable experience as a legal intern at the Office of the District Attorney, where she conducted legal research, assisted in case preparation, and observed court proceedings, strengthening her practical understanding of the legal system.

Beyond her legal practice, Shanfa is an accomplished public speaker and debater. She has earned multiple accolades in English declamation competitions at university, provincial, and inter-institutional levels. Her excellence in communication also led her to serve as an English instructor and speech coach, where she mentored students in confident speaking and competitive debate.

Shanfa has demonstrated strong leadership through roles such as General Secretary of the NANK Law Moot Society, where she organized academic competitions, and as an advocate for community initiatives addressing mental health and women’s rights.
