asmine Ouali is a distinguished legal researcher and educator specializing in Public Law, Criminal Law, and Criminology. Currently a PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Legal, Political, and Social Sciences of Tunis, her doctoral research explores the intersection of Freedom of Expression and Criminal Law. She holds a Research Master’s degree in Penal Law and Criminology, with a thesis focused on media and communication crimes in Tunisian law.
Ouali’s professional experience is characterized by a blend of academic instruction and high-level policy advocacy. She currently serves as a Law Instructor at IMSAT and has previously held similar roles at the iTeam Institute. Beyond the classroom, she is a deeply engaged leader in international initiatives, serving as the Regional Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the UNCCD Youth Coalition and as the General Coordinator for the Youth Advisory Office under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Her expertise extends into diplomacy, human rights, and climate action. She has represented Tunisia as a climate negotiator at COP16 in Riyadh and participated in leadership programs with the Arab Youth Center and Harvard University. Ouali has also contributed to legislative processes as a Parliamentary Assistant at the Assembly of People's Representatives.
