Mariam Bregvadze

Mariam Bregvadze is a Georgian scholar of international relations specializing in digital diplomacy, cybersecurity, and conflict resolution. She holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Politics from Sokhumi State University and is a state scholarship awardee. Mariam serves as the Additional Representative of the ECOSOC NGO CEDAC at the United Nations in Geneva and Vienna, and as the Main Representative of the ECOSOC NGO RECOVI at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Mariam Bregvadze, also, is a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science, UNESCO Fellow, and UN Representative specializing in algorithmic diplomacy and digital governance. The recipient of Georgia's 2025 Youth Peace Prize, she is a chief researcher dedicated to analyzing digital threats and driving innovative peacebuilding initiatives across the South Caucasus.

She has participated as a speaker and delegate at high-level international forums, including the International Day of Conscience 2025 (United Nations, Geneva) and the BIG (E)U-TURN Geopolitical Crossroads Summer University (Hungary). Her research focuses on the bipolar nature of digital diplomacy, humanitarian diplomacy in post-conflict rehabilitation, and security challenges faced by small states. She has published scholarly articles on armed conflict resolution, post-Soviet peace policy, and Georgia’s protracted struggle with occupation.
