Prabhu Rajasekar Kaliappan is a Post-Doctoral Researcher, Theorist, Digital Forensics Scientist, and Global Cyber Crime Investigation professional with more than two decades of combined experience across Information Technology, cybersecurity, digital forensics, cyber law, and transnational crime investigation. He serves as an Expert Witness and Subject Matter Expert in Digital Forensics, Cybercrime, and Transnational Investigations, with specialized focus on cyber-dependent, cyber-enabled, and cyber-assisted crimes involving IT, OT, IoT, cloud, AI systems, e-commerce platforms, FinTech environments, intellectual property, data protection, and law enforcement assignments.
His academic and professional foundation includes BS Computers, MS Digital Forensics, MCA, MBA Systems, LLB in the Common Law system of India, LL.M. in Cybercrime, Cybersecurity and International Law from UNICRI/UPEACE, Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Journalism from NFSU Gujarat, and PhD in Cyber Law with specialization in Cyber Crime from SIMATS, India. As a post-doctoral theorist, his research advances the development of techno-legal digital evidence frameworks integrating AI-driven forensics, OSINT/SOCMINT intelligence, operational technology risk, privacy and data protection law, international cooperation, and cross-border cybercrime prosecution.
His work focuses on designing practical and admissible digital evidence models that support investigation, prosecution, conviction, judicial reasoning, and policy development. He applies OSINT, manual forensic methods, AI-assisted tools, threat hunting, cyber intelligence, and AI application engineering to investigate complex cybercrime ecosystems.
